Official London asks Washington for consent for Ukraine to attack russia's territory with Storm Shadow missile

According to the media, Great Britain has been waiting for more than a month for the decision of the United States to permit Ukraine to hit russian territory with Storm Shadow missiles.

According to the sources of The Times, Great Britain cannot give permission to Ukraine for such attacks until the United States permits it. The British government sent a corresponding request to the United States more than a month ago but has not yet received a response.

It is noted that the United States fears an escalation of the war in the event of their agreement.

This information was confirmed by two more sources of the publication. One of them noted that discussions about the use of Storm Shadow are ongoing, and a third source emphasized that obtaining permission is a "routine process in the United States."

In addition to the United States, approval for the use of weapons on the territory of the russian federation must be given by France, as well as one more NATO country, which the sources did not name.

The publication suggested that the United States is waiting for the results of the Kursk operation before making a decision about the missiles.

At the same time, one of the Ukrainian officials told the newspaper that the Armed Forces were forced to go on the offensive in the Kursk region because the allies do not allow them to attack targets on the territory of the russian federation with their weapons.
