The transit of russian gas through the Ukrainian gas transport system against the background of reports of the establishment of AFU control over the Kursk Oblast's Sudzha hydroelectric power plant on August 8 compared to August 7 decreased by 6% to 37.25 million cubic meters, which is the lowest transit indicator since May 1, 2023.

At the same time, the usual volume of transit of russian gas through Ukraine is about 42-42.4 million cubic meters per day.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 7, russian mass media reported that the AFU controls the Sudzha gas measuring station in Kursk, through which russian gas transits to the EU.

Currently, Sudzha is the only point through which russian gas enters Ukraine for its transportation to European customers.
