Russia attacks energy facilities in the north and south of Ukraine

The russian occupiers attacked energy facilities in the north and south of Ukraine at night and in the morning.

This was announced by the press service of the Ukrenergo national energy company, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"This morning, the russians fired at the Ukrenergo energy facility in the southern region. There were no power outages to consumers, emergency and restoration work is ongoing. At night, russian UAVs attacked the regional power distribution company’s energy facility in the northern region, and consumers in some areas of the Chernihiv Region were cut off. In the morning, the power supply of all consumers have been restored," the message says.

Due to hostilities and other reasons, as of the morning of Wednesday, August 14, 492 settlements were completely or partially cut off.

In particular, there are power outages in the Donetsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Kherson Regions due to hostilities.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukraine has lost 9 GW of capacity since the end of March due to russian shelling.
