Investigation studying who called Farion and with whom she corresponded in messengers before murder
The police investigation got access to the phone of the murdered professor of the Lviv Polytechnic Iryna Farion and is studying her personal correspondence.
This is evidenced by court materials, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The investigator appealed to the court with a petition, in which he asked the court to grant permission for temporary access to the Samsung mobile phone belonging to Farion, with the possibility of conducting an examination of it and seizing electronic copies of personal correspondence and other records of a personal nature that may be contained in messengers and social networks, in particular photos, video recordings, audio recordings, as well as to SIM cards of mobile operators contained in the specified mobile phone.
In the course of the pre-trial investigation, there was a need for temporary access to the contents of the mobile phone, namely, to the call book, photo gallery, audio and video recordings, graphic images, SMS correspondence (personal correspondence) and other records of a personal nature that may be contained in messengers and social networks, namely mobile applications "Telegram", "Viber", "WhatsUP", "Instagram", "TikTok", "Notes", etc., with the possibility of removing electronic copies of the above information, for the purpose of conducting a review, and further examinations or use the specified information, as evidence within the scope of this criminal proceeding, as well as to the SIM card that is in this mobile phone.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the court seized sneakers, two pairs of socks and a toothbrush of the suspect in the murder of the Lviv Polytechnic professor.
Vyacheslav Zinchenko, the suspect in the murder of Lviv Polytechnic professor Iryna Farion, refused to testify in the case. The court chose a preventive measure for the guy suspected of murdering linguist and activist Iryna Farion - detention for 60 days without the right to bail.
