Cabinet opens all state border checkpoints for military goods

The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to open all existing border crossing points for military goods.

The Ministry of Finance has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"The resolution provides for the expansion of the number of checkpoints for military goods for the duration of the martial law, namely: unhindered movement of military goods through all open checkpoints of the state border of Ukraine, including those coming from partner states," the message reads.

It is noted that thanks to the adopted changes, enterprises that ensure the defense capability of the state will be able to:

- avoid complications due to force majeure circumstances related to the blocking of checkpoints across the state border of Ukraine;

- optimize the logistics of supplying military goods, which will save time and money.

Corresponding changes were made to Resolution No. 1057 dated November 17, 2010 "On approval of the list of checkpoints across the state border through which military goods and nuclear materials are moved."

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in March Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated that despite the protests of Polish transporters and farmers, no case of blocking the delivery of weapons, military equipment and humanitarian aid to Ukraine at the border with Poland was recorded.
