USD 2 billion worth of passenger cars imported in 5M – Ukravtoprom

In the first five months of 2024, Ukraine imported 144,824,000 cars (used and new) worth USD 1.947 billion.

This follows from a statement by the Ukravtoprom association, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Import of cars for five months. increased quantitatively by 48%, and in monetary terms - by 52% compared to the same period last year.

It is noted that the largest supplier of cars was Germany, from where almost 29,000 cars were imported to Ukraine.

The second place is the United States (23,772 imported cars), the third place in the rating is occupied by Japan (15,248 cars), the fourth position is China (14,465 cars), the fifth place is Korea (7,608 cars), the sixth - France (7,264 cars), seventh - Slovakia (6,874 cars), eighth - Mexico (6,584 cars), ninth - Great Britain (6,191 cars), and tenth - Czech Republic (6,080 cars).

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in June 2024, the sale of new passenger cars decreased by 8% to 5,200 units.
