Uman ex-mayor Oleksandr Tsebrii killed at the front

The former mayor of Uman Oleksandr Tsebrii, who served in the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi, died from a serious wound.

Mayor Borys Filatov and head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration Ihor Taburets announced this on Thursday, July 25.

Filatov noted that Tsebrii died during the assault from a serious wound at the hands of his comrades.

The Cherkasy Regional Military Administration reported that Tsebrii went to the front from the first days of the full-scale war. He was the commander of a machine gun platoon, a junior sergeant in the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi.

Recall, in 2020, the mayor of Uman, Oleksandr Tsebrii, came to Kyiv under the Office of the President to meet with Volodymyr Zelenskyy to prevent the mass arrival of Hasidim to the city in September.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, musician Mykola Lenok, a member of the Troisti Muzyky group, was killed at the front in July.

In April, Alla Pushkarchuk (Ruta), a military servicewoman and journalist for Tyzhden and Chytomo was killed at the front.

30-year-old sniper Kateryna Shynkarenko, who served in the company of snipers of the 53rd separate mechanized brigade, was killed during the retreat of Ukrainian forces from Avdiivka.
