Not getting smaller. Zelenskyy comments on Ukraine's losses in war

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that he knows what losses the Defense Forces of Ukraine suffer every day. According to him, the changes are not in a positive direction.

He made the corresponding statement in an interview with the Ukrainian service of BBC News.

Zelenskyy was reminded of his statement about losses, which he made earlier in February this year. Then he said that Ukraine lost 31,000 people killed.

The President was asked if he knows the losses of the Ukrainian army as of today.

"I know how many now. I know how many people we lose every day <...> I see, unfortunately, these changes every day. And they are not in a positive direction. They are not getting smaller," Zelenskyy answered.

The President added that he could not announce Ukrainian losses, as the authorities did not want the occupiers to know this figure.

Zelenskyy also said that the difference between the killed and wounded in Ukraine and russia is enormous.

According to him, in the Armed Forces of Ukraine there are 6-8 wounded for one killed serviceman. Russians have "every third, every second".

Zelenskyy emphasized that this shows that the russians are not fighting for the survival of their soldiers, abandoning them on the battlefield.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 25, 2024, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy named the ratio of losses of the AFU and the russian army during the offensive of the invaders in the north of the Kharkiv Region.

Recall that earlier today the General Staff reported the updated losses of the occupation army. According to the information of the command, the russians lost approximately 1,100 people killed and wounded during the day.
