Ukraine returns another 95 defenders from russian captivity
Ukraine has returned another 95 defenders from russian captivity. These are soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard and border guards.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on his Telegram channel.
"I am grateful to our exchange team and the United Arab Emirates for mediating this release. No matter how difficult it may be, we are looking for everyone who may be in captivity. We must return everyone," Zelenskyy said.
At the same time, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Dmytro Lubinets, reported that a total of 3,405 Ukrainians had been returned from captivity since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the aggressor country of the russian federation.
"Next, the returned soldiers will eat, receive clean clothes, be examined by doctors, prescribed the necessary treatment and rehabilitation. We thank the UAE for helping to return our soldiers. Ukraine once again confirms its desire to return all its citizens to their native land and is working in this direction," wrote Lubinets.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, at the end of June, ten Ukrainian civilians were returned from russian captivity.
