Starting today, electronic cigarettes and liquids for them prohibited in Ukraine

Today, July 11, the deadline for the permit for circulation of electronic cigarettes and liquids for them expired.

This is stated in the law "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding Public Health Protection from the Harmful Effects of Tobacco", the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The law entered into force on July 11, 2023.

According to it, tobacco products, electronic cigarettes, liquids used in electronic cigarettes, as well as devices for consuming tobacco products without burning them, put into circulation before the entry into force of the relevant provisions of this law, are in circulation until their full sale within the term of their suitability for consumption, but not longer than twelve months from the date of entry into force of this Law.

Accordingly, the period when shops can sell e-cigarettes and liquids for them has expired.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Cabinet of Ministers limited the sale of imported cigarettes to 2 packs and alcohol to 2 liters per hand per day in Duty Free shops during the martial law.
