Ukraine cuts grain exports by 0.9% to 43.2 million tons since beginning of 2023/2024

The actual volume of grain exports by Ukraine since the beginning of the 2023/2024 marketing year (July 2023 - June 2024) as of May 13 amounted to 43.206 million tons, which is 0.9% or 0.392 million tons less than in the same period of the previous marketing year.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

16,412,000 tons of wheat, 2,242,000 tons of barley, 1,300 tons of rye and 24,069,000 tons of corn have already been exported.

At the same time, during the specified period, the export of wheat flour and flour from other crops decreased by 33.5%, or by 45,000 tons, to 89,200 tons.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukraine reached pre-war export figures.

On September 21, the bulk carrier Resilient Africa arrived in the Turkish Bosphorus Strait.

This is the first ship with grain from Ukraine that passed through the Black Sea through the temporary corridor.

On July 17, 2023, russia announced the withdrawal of navigation security guarantees in the Black Sea to ensure the "grain corridor".

Ukraine exported 49 million tons of grain in the 2022/2023 marketing year, which is 1.3% more than in the 2021/2022 marketing year.
