President Petro Poroshenko has appointed Mikheil Saakashvili, a former president of Georgia (2008-2013), an advisor to the president of Ukraine, as chairman of the Odesa Regional State Administration, presidential decree No.304 of May 30 reads.
Prior to that Poroshenko granted Ukrainian citizenship to Saakashvili.
As Ukrainian News reported, in February Poroshenko appointed Saakashvili his adviser, and the chairman of the Advisory International Council of Reforms.
