Interim Chairman of the State Emergency Situations Service Zorian Shkiriak thinks that the breakdown of the Defence Ministry's plane Ilyushin Il-76 was the primary cause behind the delay of the operation for the evacuation of Ukrainians from Nepal, he has told a news briefing.
"Those mishaps that occurred had one objective cause, this is disrepair of the plane and ill-timed possibility of take-off," he said.
Shkiriak thanked the Ilyushin Il-76 pilots for high professionalism during the operation.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Shkiriak positively estimates his agency's work during the evacuation of Ukrainians from Nepal.
