IMF Mission Arrives In Ukraine

An International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission arrived in Ukraine on November 11 to meet with this country's leadership, an IMF representative told Ukrainian News.

"The IMF mission has started its work today," he noted.

The mission led by Nikolay Gueorguiev will stay in Ukraine till November 25 and will look at the current economic situation, progress in programs implementation, the government policy on maintaining macroeconomic and financial stability and growth recovery.

The discussions will go on after creating a new government.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, according to Gerry Rice, the Communications Department Director at the International Monetary Fund, the latter is supposed to consider a next stand-by tranche for Ukraine in early 2015.
