(Ukrainian News, Antonina Turpak, 08/28/2014) President Petro Poroshenko says the Russian Federation's troops have entered Ukraine, reads a statement made by the presidential press service.
"The Russian Federation's troops have entered Ukraine," said Poroshenko.
In his words, Ukrainian will be urgently initiating convocation of a meeting of the United Nations Organization Security Council.
"The world must give an estimate to the sharp aggravation of the situation in Ukraine," stressed Poroshenko.
In his words, Ukraine will urge its European partners to convene a special meeting of the Council of the European Union.
The President has decided to cancel his visit to Turkey despite the seven bilateral meetings planned in frames of the festivities on occasion of the Turkish President's assumption of office.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk calls the West powers to convene an extraordinary meeting of the UN Security Council.
Ukraine alone cannot carry on war against the Russian Federation as a nuclear state, he underlined.
Yatseniuk emphasises, the international sanctions imposed on Russia have failed to de-escalate the situation in Ukraine.
