Ninety Law Enforcements Injured In Clashes With Protesters Outside Verkhovna Rada In Kyiv

Tereschuk stressed no injured among the protesters.

About 90 policemen have been injured in the clashes with the protesters outside the Verkhovna Rada in Hrushevskoho Street, Kyiv, a Ukrainian News reporter said from the incident scene.

At around 13:40, the activists started throwing unknown explosives at the law enforcement.

By 13:50, eight policemen had received injuries of various severity, in particular, two were wounded in the hands and one in the head.

Four ambulances arrived at the parliament building and took the wounded to hospital.

The clashes continue and the number of injured law enforcement officers is increasing.

The police have not undertaking active countermeasures.

By 14:10 the National Guard buses and the ambulances took away about 20 injured policemen.

At around 14:40, the National Guard press service reported about 50 injured servicemen, including four in a serious condition.

About 10 injured soldiers took part in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO), the press-service stressed.

Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kyiv Oleksandr Tereschuk had said about 90 injured law enforcement by 15:10.

"It's hard to say, but 90 policemen have suffered from the clashes with the protesters," he noted.

Tereschuk stressed no injured among the protesters.

However, about 10 policemen were seriously wounded, he added.

Tereschuk said about opening the criminal proceedings under Article 294 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (rioting).

At the same time, Deputy Chairman of Kyiv City State Administration Mykhailo Radutskyi retrieved the information about a dead policeman, but it was being checked.

As Ukrainian News reported, by 15:15, the protesters had thrown stones at and batted the policemen in the traffic lane of Hrushevskoho Street in Kyiv.
