Head of Kherson Regional State Administration Andrii Putilov will block the broadcast of Russian television channels in the region, the regional administration told Ukrainian News referring to the governor's appeal to President Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk.
"The majority of the regional inhabited localities are in the close proximity to Russia's occupied territory and filled with television and radio signals of the Russian media companies that creates favourable conditions for deceiving the locals," the appeal noted.
Taking into account Russia's information expansionism, Kherson Regional State Administration has to block the television and radio signals from the Crimean peninsula.
The press-release stressed the region was not fully protected from the informational influence of the aggressor country.
As Ukrainian News reported, Kherson region decided to strengthen security of all its strategic facilities.
Kherson region will 100-percent lighten strategic facilities at night.
