(Ukrainian News, Ivan Serhiyenko, 10/01/2014) On September 30, the Economic Court of Kyiv rejected the Private Deposit Guarantee Fund's claim to recover UAH 2.3 billion from Yernamio Consulting Limited (Cyprus), former shareholder of Bank Forum controlled by Smart-Holding, Ukrainian News Agency has learned from a well-informed source.
The tribunal rejected the Fund's claim to prove that Smart-Holding, former shareholder of Bank Forum, is guilty of insolvency and liquidation of the financial institution.
The claimed sum was reduced from UAH 5 billion to UAH 2.3 billion.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on August 13 a court rejected the Smart-Holding's claim to avoid the Deposit Guarantee Fund's decision to liquidate Bank Forum.
On June 13 the National Bank of Ukraine decided to liquidate Bank Forum.
