Russian Court Extends Detention Of Ukrainian Movie Director Sentsov Until January 11, 2015

The Lefortovo District Court of Moscow (Russia) has extended the period of detention of Ukrainian movie director Oleh Sentsov until January 11, 2015.

"The investigator's petition was upheld today, and the court extended the arrest of Sentsov for another 3 months, until January 11," she said.

According to her, Sentsov's lawyers have three days to appeal against the court's decision.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Ukraine considers the detention of Sentsov and three other Ukrainians by officers of the Russian Federal Security Service on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts in Crimea in April as baseless.
