NSDC: 4,000 Russian Military In Crimea Advancing To Border With Kherson Region

Russia keeps making reconnaissance in the territory of Ukraine with unmanned flying vehicles.

The National Security and Defence Council says that 4,000 Russian Federation servicemen in Crimea (occupied by Russia) are advancing to the administrative border with Kherson Region, administrative border, NSDC information centre spokesman Andrii Lysenko has told a news briefing.

"Current information, almost all Russia's military elements deployed in the northern part of the occupied Crimea, 4,000 personnel of combat soldiers from the population centres Armiansk, Krasnoperekopsk, Dzhankoy, Azovske and Voinske, have advanced to administrative border with mainland Ukraine with all hardware and ammunition," he said.

Lysenko says that these military are stationing themselves in minor tactical groups in the territory between the Karkinytska Gulf and the Arabat Spit.

Moreover, Russia keeps making reconnaissance in the territory of Ukraine with unmanned flying vehicles.

In particular, on September 17 one air drone was observed over Mariupol and two more on the border with Crimea.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Defence Minister Valerii Heletey says that 3,500 servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are inside Ukraine and over 25,000 Russian military are deployed at the Ukraine/Russia border.
