Yatseniuk Estimates Number Of Officials, Enforcers Subjected To Lustration At 1 Million

Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk estimates the number of officials and law enforcement officers subjected to lustration at 1 million, he said at the Wednesday meeting of the Ukrainian Government.

He also said that the law on lustration covers all law enforcement agencies, who sent Berkut riot police troopers to fight helpless civilians, all members of central executive authorities, who worked during the period of Viktor Yanukovych's presidency, and tax officers, who had state authorities.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on September 16, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in second reading the draft law on lustration.
