Attacks From Russian Territory Increasing

The Russian troops have fired Smerch shells on the Ukrainian forces near Vesela Hora, Valuisk, Dymytrivka and Peremoha.

The attacks from the territory of the Russian Federation are increasing, Andrii Lysenko, the spokesperson for the National Security and Defense Council, said at a news briefing.

Lysenko stressed the militants and the Russian Armed Forces had not reduced their activities in the area of the government's anti-terrorist operation.

"The Russian troops have fired Smerch shells on the Ukrainian forces near Vesela Hora, Valuisk, Dymytrivka and Peremoha in the north and north-east from Luhansk, as well as mortar shells and those from Grad multiple rocket launchers near Plotyna, Chervona Talivka and Debaltseve," Lysenko stressed.

In addition, the Russian artillery opened fire on the Ukrainian military near the settlement of Bezymenne at around 15:00, he added.

"The Russian artillery is bringing fire from the territory of the Utes recreation and retreat center. According to the intelligence reports, the camera crews from Russian television channels had settled not far from the gun squads to film a provocative newsreel. Then, Russian troops launched a tank attack on Shyrokine that was repelled by the anti-terrorism forces," Lysenko emphasized.

As Ukrainian News reported, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) on September 3 stated terrorists' reduced activity in the eastern regions.
