Cabinet To Send 800 Tons Of Humanitarian Aid To Residents Of Donetsk, Luhansk Regions

The Cabinet of Ministers intends to send 800 tons of humanitarian aid to residents of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, press service of the Government has said.

In particular, Kyiv organized sending 19 automobiles with over 240 tons of commodities.

The humanitarian aid includes foodstuffs, personal hygiene provisions, goods for children and medicines.

According to Minister of Infrastructure Maksym Burbak, the columns from Kyiv, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk are protected by the State Road Inspectorate and coordinated by the State Emergency Situations Service.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) will accept humanitarian aid with essential commodities from Kyiv, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk in Starobelsk (Luhansk region).

Kharkiv region has prepared 220 tons of humanitarian aid for Luhansk region.

The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated UAH 10 million for acquisition of essential commodities for residents of eastern regions.
