AFU repel 33 attacks on Bakhmut Axis and 30 on Novopavlivsk Axis – General Staff

On April 15, a total of 104 combat clashes took place at the front; most of the enemy attacks were repelled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Bakhmut (33) and Novopavlivsk (30) Axes.

This follows from a statement by the General Staff of the AFU posted on its Facebook page, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched 16 missile- and 31 airstrikes and fired 79 rockets at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas using MLRSes.

During the day, 104 combat clashes took place at the front.

The enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations on the Kupiyansk Axis.

On the Lyman Axis, the occupiers attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders eight times in the Terny and Torske Districts of the Donetsk Region.

On the Bakhmut Axis, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 33 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk Region and Verkhniokamiyanske, Spirne, Novyi, Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka, and Andriyivka in the Donetsk Region.

On the Avdiyivka Axis, the AFU repelled 15 attacks in the areas of Novobakhmutivka, Berdychi, Semenivka, Umanske, and Pervomaiske settlements.

On the Novopavlovsk Axis, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka, Pobieda, Vodiane, and Urozhaine settlements in the Donetsk Region, where the enemy tried 30 times to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian troops.

On the Orikhiv Axis, the Russians attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders seven times in the Staromayorske District of the Donetsk Region, to the north of Pryyutne and the southwest of Bilohoriya in the Zaporizhzhia Region.

On the Kherson Axis, the enemy does not give up its intention to knock out Ukrainian units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper River.

The occupiers also carried out five unsuccessful attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops here.

On April 15, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck 13 personnel concentration areas, two anti-aircraft missile complexes, and one enemy control point.

Units of the missile forces hit two artillery pieces, four personnel concentration areas, and four enemy UAV control points.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 14, a total of 54 combat clashes took place at the front, and most of the enemy attacks of the AFU were repulsed on the Novopavlivka (16) and Bakhmut (10) Axes.
