AFU destroy 850 invaders, 23 tanks, 45 armored vehicles and 30 artillery systems. General Staff names russia’s losses for day

Losses of personnel of the russian troops on April 8 increased by 850 to 449,250 people, also Ukrainian defenders of the past day destroyed 23 tanks, 45 armored combat vehicles and 30 artillery systems.

This is stated in the message of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to April 09, 2024 approximately amounted to:

• personnel - about 449,250 (+850) people were eliminated;
• tanks - 7,110 (+23) units;
• armored combat vehicles - 13,620 (+45) units;
• artillery systems - 11,386 (+30) units;
• MLRS - 1,039 units;
• air defense equipment - 753 (+2) units;
• aircraft - 347 units;
• helicopters - 325 units;
• UAVs of operational-tactical level - 9,033 (+37) units;
• cruise missiles - 2,065 units;
• ships/boats - 26 units;
• submarines - 1 unit;
• automotive equipment and tank trucks - 15,181 (+71) units;
• special equipment - 1,868 (+1) units.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, as of April 7, the number of eliminated personnel increased by 890 to 448,400, equipment by 13 tanks, 24 armored combat vehicles and 40 artillery systems.
