NBU's net international reserves down 6.6% to USD 26.5 billion in January

In January, the net international reserves of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) decreased by 6.6% to USD 26.499 billion compared to the previous month.

This follows from a statement by NBU, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

For 2023, they increased by 54.6% from USD 18.322 billion.

Official reserve assets of the National Bank of Ukraine decreased by 4.9% to USD 38.525 billion in January. For 2023, they increased by 42.2% from USD 28.494 billion.

At the same time, gross reserve liabilities in January decreased by 0.8% to USD 12.031 billion. For the year, they increased by 19.7% from USD 10.173 billion.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, net reserves decreased by 11.8% from USD 20.767 billion in 2022.

In 2021, the NBU's net international reserves increased by 14.6% from USD 18.144 billion to USD 20.765 billion.

In 2020, net reserves increased by 14.5% from USD 15.785 billion.
