Imported pre-owned car sales up 46% to 21,700 units In November

In November 2023, the sale of imported pre-owned cars increased by 46% year over year to 21,700 units.

This follows from a statement by the Ukravtoprom association, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

It is noted that the sale of pre-owned imported cars in November became the largest in the last 16 months.

Compared to October, the sale of pre-owned imported passenger cars increased by 3%.

The largest share in this segment of the car market belongs to gasoline cars - 44%.

Diesel cars occupy 31% of this segment of the car market, and electric cars - 16%.

Volkswagen Golf remained the most popular pre-owned car in November, with 1,511 registrations.

The second place went to Renault Megane (1,261 units), third place to Skoda Octavia (894 units), fourth place to Volkswagen Passat (728 units), and Nissan Leaf closed the top five with 515 units.

It is noted that the average age of pre-owned cars that were transferred to Ukrainian license plates in November is nine years.

Since the beginning of the year, 191,000 pre-owned cars have been registered in Ukraine, which is 3.5 times more than the sale of new cars in the same period.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in 2022, the sale of pre-owned imported cars decreased by 25% year over year to 388,500 units.
