AFU having success west of Verbove and advancing south of Bakhmut. Occupiers trying to surround Avdiyivka

The troops of the aggressor country of the russian federation attacked in the east and south; in particular, they do not stop trying to encircle Avdiyivka, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) successfully defend themselves and continue the offensive on the Melitopol and Bakhmut Axis.

This follows from a statement by the General Staff of the AFU in the morning briefing on October 25.

It is noted that during the past day, about 80 combat clashes took place at the front.

In the zone of responsibility of the North Operational and Strategic Troops Group on the Volyn and Polisskyi Axes, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

On the Siversk and Slobozhanskyi Axes, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities, and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the border in the Belgorod region of the russian federation.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Troops Group on the Kupiyansk Axis, Ukrainian soldiers repelled about ten enemy attacks near Synkivka and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv Region.

On the Lyman Axis, the AFU are firmly holding their defense, having successfully repelled all russian attacks near Nadiya and Makiyivka in the Luhansk Region.

On the Bakhmut Axis, the Ukrainian army repelled about ten attacks by the occupiers in the areas of Bohdanivka, Klishchiyivka, and Andriyivka settlements in the Donetsk Region. At the same time, the AFU continue their assault operations south of Bakhmut, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment and entrenching themselves at the achieved frontiers.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Troops Group on the Avdiyivka Axis, the enemy does not stop trying to surround Avdiyivka, actively using aviation, but the Ukrainian AFU are holding the defense and inflicting significant losses on it. The offensive actions of the enemy were unsuccessful in the districts of Stepove, Avdiyivka, Sieverne, and Nevelske of the Donetsk Region, where more than ten attacks were repulsed.

On the Mariyinka Axis, the russians carried out assaults in the Mariyinka and Pobeda Districts of the Donetsk Region without success. More than 20 attacks were repelled here.

On the Shakhtarsk and Zaporizhzhia Axes, the AFU repelled all attacks by the occupiers in the areas of Novomykhailivka, Prechystivka, Staromayorske, south of Zolota Nyva in the Donetsk Region, and southeast of Mala Tokmachka of the Zaporizhzhia Region.

"At the same time, the AFU continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol Axis, had partial success west of Verbove, are causing losses in manpower and equipment to the occupying forces, and are exhausting the enemy along the entire front line," the General Staff emphasized.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa Special Forces in the Kherson Axis, Ukrainian defenders are conducting a counter-battery fight, inflicting fire damage on the enemy's rear.

During the past day, the Air Force of the AFU made 13 strikes on areas where the enemy's personnel, weapons, and military equipment are concentrated and three - on anti-aircraft missile complexes.

Units of the missile forces destroyed 12 artillery pieces, a logistics hub, a control post, and an anti-aircraft defense device, and also hit two areas where the personnel, weapons, and military equipment of the russians were concentrated.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the russian army attacked the territory of Ukraine at night with attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Air defense forces managed to shoot down all the drones released by the russians. Shaheds were shot down in six regions of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, in the Khmelnytskyi Region, russian aerial targets fell on the territory of a critical infrastructure facility. Sixteen people were injured.
