Zelenskyy dismisses Danylyshyn as NBU Council member
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has dismissed Bohdan Danylyshyn as a member of the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine.
This is stated in Decree 707/2023 on the President's website, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Danylyshyn was dismissed due to the expiration of his term of office.
The decree enters into force from the day of publication.
Bohdan Danylyshyn was elected to the post of Chairman of the NBU Council in October 2016.
On November 14, 2022, the second three-year term of his tenure as chairman of the board of the National Bank of Ukraine expired, after which he held the position of a member of the board.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in accordance with the law On NBU, the board chairperson of the National Bank is elected for a term of three years.
Bohdan Danylyshyn is a doctor of economic sciences, professor, and academician of the National Academy of Sciences.
From 2007 to 2010, Bohdan Danylyshyn was the Minister of Economy of Ukraine in Yulia Tymoshenko's government.
