Zelenskyy approves extension of martial law and mobilization until November 15

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed laws on the extension of martial law and general mobilization from August 18 for 90 days, i.e. until November 15.

This is evidenced by the data on the website of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Bill 9532 provides for the approval of Presidential decree No. 451 of July 26 "On extending the period of martial law in Ukraine", according to which the period of martial law is extended from 5:30 a.m. on August 18, 2023 for 90 days.

Bill 9533 provides for the approval of Presidential decree No. 452 of July 26 "On extending the period of general mobilization", according to which the period of general mobilization is extended from August 18 for 90 days.

In the explanatory note to both bills, it is emphasized that their adoption will contribute to the adoption of adequate measures aimed at repelling Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 27, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in general bills on extending the term of martial law and general mobilization from August 18 for 90 days, i.e. until November 15.

On February 24, 2022, the Verkhovna Rada approved the introduction of martial law by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in connection with the start of the war by Russia and the announcement and conduct of general mobilization.
