Ukrainian Exchange trading volume up 141.4% to UAH 1.536 billion in June
In June, the trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange increased by 141.4% to UAH 1.536 billion over May.
The exchange has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that the total volume of trading on the Ukrainian Exchange in June was UAH 1,536,126,149.61, and the total number of transactions was 21,331.
In the trading structure for June 2023, government bonds (OVDPs) accounted for 93.96% of the total turnover, or UAH 1,443,369,990.11; shares - 0.68%, or UAH 10,546,788.06; investment certificates - 0.02%, or UAH 269,056.97; foreign securities - 5.33%, or UAH 81,889,537.47; and corporate bonds - UAH 50,777.00.
It is noted that in June, the index of Ukrainian shares (UX index) decreased by 17.3% from 1,755.36 to 1,452.28 points.
The leaders in the share securities market in June were: Yuzkoks PJSC (UAH 3.470 million), Ukrgasbank PJSC (UAH 3.371 million), and Centrenergo PJSC (UAH 1.393 million).
The leaders of circulation on the debt securities market in June were:
- 226286 government bonds, repayment 26.06.2024 (UAH 375.2 million);
- 204150 government bonds, repayment 26.02.2025 (UAH 177.4 million);
- 227474 government bonds, USD-nominated, repayment 26.10.2023 (UAH 134.9 million).
The leading operators of the stock and fund certificate market in June were Navigator-Invest, Invintum, and Dragon Capital.
The leading operators of the bond market in June were Universal Bank, BTC Broker, and International Investment Bank JSC.
In turn, the leading operators of the foreign securities market in June were Dragon Capital, Univer Capital, and Daliz Finance FC.
Ukrainian Exchange is a liquidity center for stocks and derivatives in Ukraine.
The index of Ukrainian shares is calculated from the start of trading on the Ukrainian Exchange on March 26, 2009.
The initial value was taken equal to 500 points.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in May, the trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange decreased by 25.5% to UAH 0.636 billion over April.
