Cabinet announces end of COVID-19 quarantine from July

The Cabinet of Ministers announced the end of the quarantine and state of emergency introduced due to the coronavirus infection COVID-19 from July.

This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during the government meeting on Tuesday, June 27, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"As of July 1, we are ending the quarantine and the state of emergency in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. During the pandemic, we worked out response mechanisms that came in handy during a full-scale war. Thank to the doctors who selflessly fought the pandemic all these years and did everything to minimize its consequences. Now they are no less heroically helping defenders and civilians in full-scale war conditions," he said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in May, WHO announced the end of the coronavirus pandemic in the world.

In April, the Cabinet of Ministers extended the quarantine due to COVID-19 until July.
