Canada is ready to send a new package of military aid to Ukraine, which will include weapons.

This was stated by the head of the Canadian government, Justin Trudeau, European Pravda writes.

"Today we announce that we will send even more weapons. We will send 21,000 assault rifles, 38,000 machine guns and more than 2.4 million rounds of ammunition," he said at a joint press conference with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

According to him, all this will be sent to Ukraine from the warehouses of the Canadian Armed Forces in the near future.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal is on a working visit to Canada this week.

On March 31, the State Budget of Ukraine received from Canada CAD 2.4 billion (equivalent to USD 1.8 billion) of a loan on preferential terms under the second additional agreement.

Earlier, Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand showed the loading of military equipment to be sent to help Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression.
