Cabinet Appoints Chernyshov As Naftogaz Board Chair

The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Oleksii Chernyshov to the post of chairman of the Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint-stock company from November 4.

This is evidenced by government order No. 983 of November 3, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

On November 3, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed Oleksii Chernyshov from the position of Minister of Community and Territorial Development, he had held this position since March 2020.

Previously, he held the position of head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 1, the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Yurii Vitrenko from the post of chairman of Naftogaz of Ukraine.

In the first half of the year, the Naftogaz of Ukraine group increased its loss 34.6 times to UAH 57.2 billion.

Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint-stock company is a leading enterprise of the country's fuel and energy complex, which is engaged in the exploration and development of deposits, drilling, oil and gas storage, oil transportation, and gas supply to consumers.
