Kabaeva, Putin's Ex-Wife, His Cousin And Nephew. UK Expands List Of Sanctions Against Russia

The head of the President's Office, Andrii Yermak, has said that the United Kingdom has expanded the list of sanctions against Russia.

He wrote about this on his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The United Kingdom has expanded the list of sanctions against Russia. It includes, in particular, the Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva, close to Putin, the former wife of the Russian president Lyudmila, who now has the name Ocheretnaya," he wrote.

Also under sanctions are Igor Putin and Roman Putin, a cousin of the Russian president with his son.

Yermak notes that the sanctions plan of the Michael McFaul - Andrii Yermak group proposed imposing sanctions against Putin's inner circle.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the sixth package of sanctions against Russia includes an oil embargo and the disconnection of the Russian Sberbank from SWIFT.

The leaders of the G7 countries (the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Japan) pledged to introduce an oil embargo against Russia, continue military assistance to Ukraine and help in its restoration.

The European Commission plans to present a legal initiative that would help confiscate Russian assets and equate evasion of sanctions with criminal acts.

Deputy Head of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev believes that the restrictive measures that the international community has introduced against Russia due to its invasion of Ukraine will cause a global crisis, new wars, hunger and epidemics.
