Criminologists From Slovakia Arrive In Ukraine To Assist In Investigation Of Russian War Crimes
Criminologists from Slovakia arrived in Ukraine to assist in the investigation of war crimes by the Russian military.
Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova announced this, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"Forensic experts from Slovakia have arrived in Ukraine. The first group is already in the capital and is ready to help us in investigation of war crimes. It includes Slovak police officers, forensic experts and an anthropologist. They will share their time, knowledge and experience, working in joint teams with Ukrainian colleagues," the Prosecutor General wrote.
According to her, more than 7,600 war crimes were recorded in Ukraine during the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, and the support of the world in collecting evidence is extremely needed.
At the moment, a mission of representatives of the French gendarmerie and the medical service of the Armed Forces of the French Republic is working in Kyiv region.
Also in Ukraine, there is a team of the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court.
"The work of foreign experts is also a sign of Ukraine's openness. Our goal is absolutely transparent - a thorough investigation of every war crime of the Russian Federation in order to bring the perpetrators to justice," Venediktova wrote on Facebook.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, criminologists from France joined the assistance to the Ukrainian law enforcement officers in investigating the killings of civilians by Russian military in Ukraine.
