Zelenskyy, Pope Francis Discuss Holy See’s Mediating Role In Ending Human Suffering In Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Pope Francis have discussed the Holy See’s mediating role in ending human suffering in Ukraine.

Zelenskyy announced this on Twitter, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Talked to [Pope Francis]. Told His Holiness about the difficult humanitarian situation and the blocking of rescue corridors by Russian troops. The mediating role of the Holy See in ending human suffering would be appreciated. Thanked for the prayers for Ukraine and peace," he tweeted.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Zelenskyy is not ruling out talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Jerusalem (Israel).
