Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 2.6 Times To 4,571, Number Of Deaths Up Twice To 273 On January 4
On January 4, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 4,571 over January 3 to 3,682,659, and the number of deaths increased by 273 over January 3 to 96,709; at the same time, the number of new cases increased 2.6 times, and the number of new deaths increased twice.
This follows from data of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the report, as of the morning of January 5, a total of 3,682,659 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 96,709 deaths; 3,491,793 had recovered.
On January 4, a total of 4,571 new disease cases were recorded, 273 people died, and 8,439 people recovered.
Therefore, as of January 4, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (4,571 vs 8,439).
At the same time, on January 4, a total of 1,366 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, up 40.8% over January 3.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on January 3, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,746 over January 2 to 3,678,088, and the number of deaths increased by 135 over January 2 to 96,436; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 3.2%, and the number of new deaths increased by 18.4%.
On January 2, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,804 over January 1 to 3,676,342, and the number of deaths increased by 114 over January 1 to 96,301; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 3%, and the number of new deaths increased by 16.3%.
