Number Of Coronavirus-Infected People In Kyiv City Up 953 Persons To 109,008 On December 28, Number Of Deaths Up 21 To 1,875 - Klitschko

On December 28, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 953 over December 27 to 109,008, and the number of deaths rose by 21 to 1,875.

Kyiv City Mayor / Chairperson of the Kyiv City State Administration, Vitali Klitschko, has written this on Telegram, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

There were 542 women aged 18-91; 350 men aged 18-87; 26 girls aged 8m-17y; and 35 boys aged 2m-17y among the people infected with the coronavirus on December 28.

Besides, 31 medical workers fell ill.

A total of 57 people were hospitalized.

On December 28, a total of 556 people recovered.

Since the start of the epidemic, a total of 38,017 residents of the Ukrainian capital have recovered.

The largest number of coronavirus cases was registered in Darnytskyi district - 287, Dniprovskyi district – 141, and Sviatoshynskyi district - 107.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 27, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 851 over December 26 to 108,055, and the number of deaths rose by 10 to 1,854.

On December 28, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 6,988 over December 27 to 1,037,362, and the number of deaths increased by 232 over December 27 to 18,081; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 59.4%, and the number of new lethal cases rose 3.1 times.

According to the report, as at the morning of December 29, there were 1,037,362 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 18,081 lethal cases; besides, 681,835 people had recovered.

On December 28, a total of 6,988 new cases of the disease were recorded, 232 people died, and 16,106 people recovered.

Therefore, as at December 28, the indicator of newly-infected people was lower than the number of those, who recovered (6,988 vs 16,106).

As at the morning of December 29, the overall number of those, who are staying ill with the Covid-19 (less the recovered and died) made 337,446, down 2.7% over December 28.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (109,008), Odesa region (69,863), and Kharkiv region (68,395).
