Naftogaz Of Ukraine Gas Supply Company Ups Gas Price For Population By 14% To UAH 7.22 Per Cubic Meter For January 2021

Naftogaz of Ukraine gas supply company LLC increased the price of natural gas for the population by 14% in January 2021 or by UAH 0.89 per cubic meter of gas to UAH 7.22 per cubic meter (including VAT, excluding the cost distribution and delivery) compared to December.

Naftogaz has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

At the same time, from January 1, 2021, consumers will not be able to conclude an agreement with the Naftogaz of Ukraine gas supply company for the supply of gas at the Annual tariff.

"Since half of the heating season is over, the company receives significantly fewer applications for joining the Annual tariff plan. Taking this into account, the Naftogaz of Ukraine gas supply company decided to suspend new connections under the Annual tariff plan," the company emphasizes.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Naftogaz of Ukraine gas supply company LLC has retained the price of natural gas for the population for December at UAH 6.33 per cubic meter (including VAT, excluding distribution and delivery costs) compared to November.

On August 1, in Ukraine, the provision on the imposition of public service obligation (PSO) on the Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint stock company for the sale of gas to the population was terminated and a market for domestic consumers was launched.

The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities (Energy Commission) has simplified the procedure for changing the gas supplier for the population from July 1.
