Number Of Coronavirus-Infected People In Kyiv City Up By Record-Breaking 1,899 Persons To 86,437 On December 9, Number Of Deaths Up 27 To 1,525 – Klitschko

On December 9, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by a record-breaking 1,899 over December 8 to 86,437, and the number of deaths rose by 27 to 1,525.

Kyiv City Mayor / Chairperson of the Kyiv City State Administration, Vitali Klitschko, announced this in his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

There were 1,069 women aged 18-89; 722 men aged 19-85; 61 girls aged 5d-17y; and 47 boys aged 2-17 among the people infected with the coronavirus on December 9.

Besides, 51 medical workers fell ill.

On December 9, a total of 138 people were hospitalized and the rest are staying in self-isolation.

On December 9, a total of 444 people recovered.

Since the start of the epidemic, a total of 26,847 residents of the Ukraine’s capital have recovered.

The largest number of coronavirus cases was registered in Dniprovskyi district - 356, in Darnytskyi district - 315, in Desnianskyi district - 313.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 8, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 1,728 over December 7 to 84,538, and the number of deaths rose by 34 to 1,498.

On December 9, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 13,371 over December 8 to 858,714, and the number of deaths increased by 266 over December 8 to 14,470; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 6.3%, and the number of new lethal cases fell by 3.6%.

According to the report, as at the morning of December 10, there were 858,714 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 14,470 lethal cases; besides, 465,021 people had recovered.

On December 9, a total of 13,371 new cases of the disease were recorded, 266 people died, and 13,903 people recovered.

Therefore, as at December 9, the indicator of newly-infected people was lower than the number of those, who recovered (13,371 vs 13,903).

The number of the active sick (only those sick) as at the morning of December 10, made 379,223 people, down 0.21% day over day.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (86,437), Kharkiv region (60,992), and Odesa region (54,840).
