Number Of Coronavirus-Infected People In Kyiv City Up By 1,475 Persons To 82,810 On December 7, Number Of Deaths Up 23 To 1,464 - Klitschko

On December 7, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 1,475 over December 6 to 82,810, and the number of deaths rose by 23 to 1,464.

Kyiv City Mayor / Chairperson of the Kyiv City State Administration, Vitali Klitschko, announced this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

There were 833 women aged 18-94; 563 men aged 18-93; 40 girls aged 1-17; and 39 boys aged 11m-17y among the people infected with the coronavirus on December 7.

Besides, 57 medical workers fell ill.

On December 7, a total of 87 people were hospitalized and the rest are staying in self-isolation.

On December 7, a total of 557 people recovered.

Since the start of the epidemic, a total of 25,767 residents of the Ukraine’s capital have recovered.

The largest number of coronavirus cases was registered in Desnianskyi district - 248, in Dniprovskyi district - 203, in Darnytskyi district - 198.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 6, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 1,526 over December 5 to 81,335, and the number of deaths rose by 16 to 1,441.

On December 7, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 10,811 over December 6 to 832,758, and the number of deaths increased by 195 over December 6 to 13,928; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 25.1%, and the number of new lethal cases rose by 34.5%.

According to the report, as at the morning of December 8, there were 832,758 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 13,928 lethal cases; besides, 436,564 people had recovered.

On December 7, a total of 10,811 new cases of the disease were recorded, 195 people died, and 12,860 people recovered.

Therefore, as at December 7, the indicator of newly-infected people was lower than the number of those, who recovered (10,811 vs 12,860).

The number of the active sick (only those sick) as at December 8, made 382,266 people, down 0.6% day over day.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (82,810), Kharkiv region (59,739), and Odesa region (52,853).
