Ukrzaliznytsia To Raise Passenger Fares By 12% From May 30 And By Another 12% From October 1

The Ukrzaliznytsia public joint stock company intends to raise passenger fares by 12% from May 30 and by another 12% from October 1, 2018.

The press service of Ukrzaliznytsia announced this to Ukrainian News Agency.

According to the press service, the order of Ukrzaliznytsia will be published in the Uriadovyi Kurier government newspaper on May 29.

The press service of the company notes that the previous indexation of passenger fares was in October 2014.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in April 2018, Ukrzaliznytsia said the order on indexation of passenger fares was undergoing the procedures of approval.

The financial plan of the Ukrzaliznytsia public joint-stock company for 2018 envisaged that the company would raise passenger fares by 12% from April and 12% from October.

The Ukrzaliznytsia public joint stock company started commercial operations on December 1, 2015.

Ukrzaliznytsia operates the Donetsk, Lviv, Odesa, Southern, Southwestern, and Dnipro railways, as well as other enterprises and organizations facilitating transportation of goods and passengers.
