PGO Intends To Urge Court To Arrest MP Savchenko Without Possibility Of Bail

The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine intends to request a court to detain Member of Parliament Nadiya Savchenko without a possibility of a bail.

A representative of the Prosecutor General's Office announced this to Ukrainian News Agency.

"Only detention. The article does not foresee any alternative," the representative said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Security Service of Ukraine has arrested MP Savchenko.

On March 22, law enforcers handed a notice of suspicion to MP Savchenko in the case on preparing terror attacks in the center of Kyiv.

On March 22, the Verkhovna Rada supported motions of the Prosecutor General's Office and stripped MP Savchenko of deputy immunity and gave consents to her arrest and detention.
