PGO Serves Azarov With Suspicion Of Inflicting Losses Of UAH 2.2 Billion On State, Serves Arbuzov With Suspicion Of Embezzling UAH 3.2 Billion

The Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) has served former prime minister Mykola Azarov with suspicion of inflicting losses of UAH 2.2 billion on the state and served former first deputy prime minister Serhii Arbuzov with suspicion of embezzling UAH 3.2 billion.

Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko announced this on his Facebook page, the Ukrainian News Agenc y reports.

Both Azarov and Arbuzov were served with suspicion in absentia.

Azarov was served with suspicion of complicity in illegal takeover of large volume of liquefied gas produced by the UkrGasVydobuvannya and Ukrnafta companies, thus inflicting a loss of UAH 2.2 billion on the state.

Arbuzov is suspected of complicity in embezzlement of UAH 3.2 billion from the Chornomornaftohaz public joint-stock company during purchase of two jack-up drilling rigs.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv authorized the Prosecutor-General's Office to launch a special (in absentia) investigation against Azarov and Arbuzov.
