Court Charges Krysin With 4-Year Suspended Sentence For Involvement In Assassination Of Journalist Veremii
The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv has charged head of a group of thugs Yurii Krysin with a four-year suspended sentence for involvement in assassination of Vesti newspaper journalist Viacheslav Veremii.
Respective sentence was declared by judge Oles Lynnik on Friday, December 22, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The court has found out that on February 17, 2014, Horlivka city-born Krysin agreed to gather a group of thugs to counteract activists of Euromaidan for remuneration of USD 20,000.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, journalist Veremii was killed near Mykhailivska square in Kyiv overnight into February 19, 2014.
According to the prosecution, the journalist was directly assassinated by a resident of Horlivka, Dzhalal Aliev.
