Foreign Affairs Ministry Expecting Biometric Citizen Verification System To Launch At Border From 2018

The Foreign Affairs Ministry of Ukraine expects that the national system of biometric verification of citizens at the state border will be launched on January 1, 2018.

The ministry said this in its reply to respective request of Ukrainian News Agency.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Foreign Affairs Ministry states that consideration of the mechanism and phases of introduction of the requirement to produce biometric passports by foreigners, including citizens of Russia, is still underway.
