Cabinet's Resolution Limiting Maximum Driving Speed To 50 Kilometers/Hour In Populated Areas To Take Affect From January 2018

The governmental resolution limiting maximum driving speed to 50 kilometers per hour in populated areas will taker effect from January 1, 2018.

Ukrainian News learned this from governmental resolution No.883 of November 10, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

At present the limit of driving speed in populated areas is 60 kilometers per hour.

The amendments to the traffic rules will take effect from January 1, 2018.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 10, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to limit maximum driving speed to 50 kilometers per hour in populated areas.

The Cabinet of Ministers also passed a bill, which envisages increasing a criminal responsibility for breaking road traffic rules in the state of alcoholic intoxication or under the influence of other toxic substance that had resulted in bodily injuries or death of a human.
