Special Investigations Department Not To Bring To Court All Cases On Dispersal Of Euromaidan Protests Before October In Lack Of Evidence

The Department for Special Investigations has failed to hand over to court all indictments of suspects charged with crimes over the cracking down on public protests at the Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv in 2013-2014 (known as Euromaidan protests).

Department's Head Serhii Horbatiuk told the Ukrainian News, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Horbatiuk said they could not hand over because there was no sufficient evidence.

At the same time, he claimed that large number of cases on Euromaidan had already been handed over to court, in particular, 154 indictments against 238 individuals.
