Energy Commission Licenses Ukrposhta For Gas Supplies
The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utility Services has issued a license to the Ukrposhta public joint stock company for economic activities on supplies of natural gas.
The Energy Commission endorsed this decision at its sitting on Thursday, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Ukrposhta has said it intended to begin supplies of natural gas to its outlets.
The public joint stock company plans to purchase natural gas in the volume enough for the heating season and pump the volume to the underground gas storage facilities of Ukrtransgas, the operator of the Ukrainian gas transportation system.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2016, Ukrposhta posted the loss of UAH 188 million.
In 2016, the company increased its net revenue from sale of services by 15% to UAH 4.484 billion.
The company initiates drafting of a bill that will allow it to conduct financial activity.
Ukrposhta is the postal service monopoly in Ukraine.
